The encrusting form grows on dead or live substrates. The cylindrical branches are commonly intertwined with branches of other branch-forming species, i.e., Clathria cervicornis, C. reinwardti and Amphimedon paraviridis. Barnacles and bivales often inhabit this species (Ref. 124615). |
