Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 6 - 25 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Color is usually dark reddish-brown. Calices are generally highly plocoid and conical, with ridged outer thecal walls that are formed by extensions of the septa.
Biology:  Depth based from occurrence (Ref. 8294); to be replaced with a better reference. Common low-growing encrusting species (Ref. 102838).
