Closely set polyps on encrusting coenenchyme. Body-wall is thin, the greater part is occupied by the mesogloea with strands across the ectoderm. Ectoderm may be obliterated by a mass of sandy encrustation. Mesogloea with cell-islets and lacunae, but encircling sinus is absent. Very short imperfect mesenteries (Ref. 89044). |
Occurs in rock-pools between tide-marks (Ref. 89044). |
