Distribution:  Southeast Pacific, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean, Black Sea and Western Indian Ocean: from Peru to Brazil north to Norway, east to Turkey and South Africa.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is coralligenous and inhabits soft bottoms (Ref. 2780).
