Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 116065. Found at low tide up to 40 m depth, on silt, sand, and coral substrates (Ref. 1134); also on hard substrate (Ref. 116065); on the peat bank and roots and among Thalassia on the pond bottom (Ref. 1758). Occurs at the low tide mark. Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823).
