Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Commonly inhabits lower eulittoral zone of rocky shores as well as shallow subtidal rocky platforms (Ref. 102838) and muddy stones in intertidal areas (Ref. 130068). Members of the family Trochidae browse on detritus and algae, sometimes filter-feeding (Ref. 349).
