Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and Hawaii, and south to New South Wales.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Shell is used to make decorative items (Ref. 349). Among stones and weeds. Shallow subtidal waters (Ref. 349).
