Distribution:  Ponto-Caspian Region.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is native and widely distributed in lakes, ponds and rivers throughout of Turkey. Introduced in many European countries until 1986, before the crayfish plague was observed in 1985 (Ref. 126939).

Country info:  Native in Anzali Lagoon and Iranian shore of the Caspian Sea (up to 5-10 km offshore) but introduced in Arass in 1988 and other several water reservoir within the country in 2000-2003 (Ref. 126950). C: Ref. 126950.
