Comments It was introduced in the Río de la Plata estuary via fouling or ballast water, the regulations for which are not strictly enforced in Argentina. There were constant records of Rapa venosa in Samborombón Bay in 2004-2006. It may be preying on Mactra isabelleana and Ostrea puelchana.
