Minimum depth from Ref. 116112. Littoral to shelf (Ref. 19); continental rise, continental shelf, estuarine, low intertidal, juveniles-predator (Ref. 1456). Epibiotic (Ref. 116112). Occurs at the low tide mark. Parasitizes the actinian Bartholomea annulata (Ref. 121217). Also found on algae growing over barnacle pavements on a sublittoral flat rock (Ref. 126174).

Members of the class Pycnogonida are gonochoric and sexually dimorphic. During copulation, male usually suspends itself beneath the female. Fertilization occurs as the eggs leave the female's ovigers. Males brood the egg masses until they hatch. Life cycle: Eggs hatch into protonymphon larva then to adults.
