Kurzbeschreibung Morphologie

Colonies: extensive upright to prostate laminae; encrusting. Colony surface: covered by elongate tuberculate which hide the corallites from view. Tuberculae: upwardly inclined on upright laminae. Coenosteum: coarse (Ref. 846).

Life cycle: The zygote develops into a planktonic planula larva. Metamorphosis begins with early morphogenesis of tentacles, septa and pharynx before larval settlement on the aboral end.
